Study Counseling

1. Student before admission they need to hold a  freshman meeting，by the department teachers and graduates students to explain the course ,so that students can better understand the future direction of learning.
2. Provide students MING CHUAN University student handbook, as a reference for important learning information during the school period.
3. After admission, a course tutor is organized for some courses each semester to solve students’ s doubts about course selection.
4. For a number of internship activities, so that the curriculum planning can be implemented into practical application. Winter and summer Administrative break are in accordance with the wishes of graduate students, arranged to go to the school and outside the media internship.
5. During each semester, the Department continues to organize teaching seminars, seminars on learning outcomes, and disseminate related large-scale activities, so that students can contact and exchange with experts, scholars and students from all regions to expand their macro vision.
6. Set up a learning incentive system, each semester with the school for scholarship applications, each year on campus scholarship ‘ general scholarship’ and ‘ ‘Scholarship for students in financial need’ and other 22 kinds, out-of-school scholarship for more than dozens of kinds. With a view to improving the students ‘ reading culture and promoting the balanced development of moral and intellectual groups.
    

Mentor System

The department has a tutor system and a sister-in-law system . Senior students can help younger siblings in their academic life counseling. At the same time , through the school sister at any time to help , not only in the fastest time to understand the learning environment , and can immediately solve the difficulties. If there are problems that cannot be solved each class of tutors and each instructor in the Department can provide considerable help in academic, life and career counseling. At  the same time , in cooperation with the implementation of the school roll call system, each time after the completion of the class to invite students to pay back through the teacher’s signature point list , by the secretary to log in the absence of students, timely feedback tutors for guidance. Each year, the School’s Forward Planning Office conducts tutor-knowledge training camps for teacher, and those who are qualified as mentors must attend a certain number of sessions each semester in order to enhanced the tutor’s  ability to tutor students. 

Fixed talk time

The Department provides students with fixed talk times that can be divided into:

1. Classes :The department arranges a fixed class time every week, the tutor must participate in the class meeting, in addition to advocating school affairs and business, but also with students to communicate.
2. Teacher office hour :  All teachers in this school are required to stay at least 6 hours a week (office hour), the department and indeed implement, if students have problems, even if more than the time, all teachers can extend the time for students to provide the direction of the thesis guidance , course advice, student seminars and journals published tutoring services.

Extracurricular learning activities

To further enhance student learning effectiveness, the department plans extra curricular learning activities, including student self-government organizations, international learning activities, academic lectures or workshops, industry visits or internships.
